5 Things I Can't Live Without
1. Child Perfume from Beauty Habit: It's Jennifer Anniston's favorite and is truly an intoxicating scent!
2. Cream candles: I think all candles should be a shade of cream(neutral) Preferably soy with lead-free wicks. Everyone looks more beautiful by candle light.
3. Yoga with my friend Deb @ Yorba Linda Yoga. I know it sounds corny...but yoga has changed my life!
4. Tory Burch ballet flats: casual but elegant at the same time. You feel like you're in your slippers, but feel like you're in-fashion too!
5. A classic Gucci belt with the gold double G's. Got it from my hubby for my birthday. Something that will never go out of style and will always remind me of him!!!

Home: a place where one lives; a dwelling place together with family
A Home: so much more than the walls and beams that form its frame. A home is only a home when we live in it. Before that, it is simply a house. We breathe life into our homes by the way we move within their walls. The things that we hold dear, the things that we choose to surround ourselves with everyday, these are the things that make a house a home. A home should be a very personal space that reflects what we love and reminds us of what is truly important.
On my bookcase is a beautiful jar. Inside are sand, shells and sand dollars collected on a family vacation in South Carolina. I tied a jute ribbon around the lip of the jar with a tag attached. On the tag is the date of our trip. When I see it there I am reminded of a time when my girls were just a little smaller, and life was just a little simpler. In my mind I can see them riding their bikes along the sand at the waters edge. In my heart, I can feel the swell of peace, remembering how warm the water felt and how sweet, special, and rare those moments were. These everyday treasures, simply displayed, represent so many things that are important to me; the beauty of nature, the preciousness of family, the fleetingness of time. That little sand jar is part of what makes my house a home.
